Mandate
The marketing and communications team at Fednav LLC, Canada's largest oceangoing bulk shipping company, trust Vocation to support them with their marquis events on an annual basis. For their end-of-year holiday celebration in 2023 we were asked to create a special evening that made their employees feel appreciated, included, able to reconnect and have a great time together in a responsible way. All this within a relatively tight budget.
Solution
Leveraging our relationships with trusted industry partners, we were able to bring together a design that would support their chosen theme, bring the wow factor and come in on budget. Using our consultation services, we were also able to refer the perfect suppliers for their needs and help them bring together a successful event that impressed their discerning guests.
Make it quick, but make it nice!
Our first contact with the clients for this mandate was very close to event day. We had no time to lose and had to ensure that our choices were made with efficacy and efficiency. We sourced as much as we could from a minimal number of suppliers and leaned heavily on our account managers in-depth knowledge of their products to create a beautiful space within the budget and inventory available. Our referrals were properly briefed from the beginning of their communications with the clients ensuring that they were proposing exactly what they needed from the beginning and minimizing any superfluous admin.
