AWS Treats Truck at the 2024

Mandate
AWS Startups approached us with a challenge to help them to design and produce an experience outside the Collision Conference (now Web Summit), North America’s fastest growing tech conference, to generate buzz, new leads and awareness for their AWS Activate Program and Generative AI Accelerator. All within a time frame of less than one month to execution.
Solution
We designed a bold, fully wrapped trailer that we positioned at the main entrance to the conference and branded giveaways galore to get people excited, bring in potential leads and spark social media attention.
Outdoor activation challenges
Our activation would have to be able to be installed in a brief period of time and withstand the elements while still maximizing our client’s branding and messaging in an attractive and engaging way. We worked with trusted suppliers to build custom branded pieces that were easy to set up and take down each day and safe and secure outdoors, despite the extreme heat, high winds and thunderstorms experienced over the course of the event.
Greener giveaways that drew the crowds
We knew that tech conferences were full of swag and that our clients wanted to see some greener options beside the traditional t-shirts. We designed custom bags of popcorn and cans of sparkling water that were a huge success in both creating awareness and minimizing waste and brought a previously-created plushie to the conference that quickly became a crowd favourite.

Well educated promotional staff were a key component of this activation. Our team ensured they were properly attired, scripted and trained and managed to ensure that our clients messaging was being accurately communicated and the contact information they were looking for was being recorded in a friendly, seamless way.
Seamless technology
With clients like AWS, whose products are at the forefront of the tech world, our incorporation of technology into the activation had to feel effortless and seamless. QR codes prompting guests to learn more about AWS Activate were incorporated into the custom furniture designs, staff were equipped with programs on mobile devices to help with participant lead capture and a contest was developed based on guests being able to enter their contact details the fastest on iPads provided for a marketing reach outs for the Generative AI Accelerator.
